In Cayman, Digicel was recognized for its contribution to the Have a Heart Cayman Islands campaign, in partnership with Health City Cayman Islands.
The Have a Heart Cayman Islands charity, which has supported more than 8,000 pediatric heart surgeries in India, has formed a partnership with Health City Cayman Islands and Haiti Cardiac Alliance, a U.S.-based non-profit organization, to facilitate cardiac surgery at Health City for a number of Haitian children.
Digicel, a mobile telecommunications company that operates in 31 markets across the Caribbean, Central America and Oceania regions, has been presented with a plaque of appreciation in recognition of its contribution to the Have a Heart Cayman Islands campaign in partnership with Health City Cayman Islands.
A group of students is having an impact on the lives of children who travel from Haiti for heart procedures in Cayman.
Over the past week, Impact 345, a charity club formed by students at Cayman International School, collected clothing, shoes, school supplies and toys for four Haitian children, ages 2, 5, 8 and 15, at Health City Cayman Islands.
